    Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Frequently Asked Questions

    What is the AGM?

    The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a formal meeting of members where the Board reports on the Credit Union’s performance and members vote on key matters, including the election of directors.

    When and where is the AGM being held?

    The AGM will be held on Thursday, 22 January 2026, starting at 7:00 PM.
    The meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting, with members able to attend:

    • In person at the Chamberlain branch, or
    • Online via Zoom.

    Doors will open at 6:30 PM for in-person registration.

    Do I need to register to attend?

    Yes. All members must register in advance to attend the AGM, whether attending in person or online.

    Registration closes at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.

    How do I register to attend in person?

    You can register in one of the following ways:

    • By phone: 1-800-379-7757
    • In person at any branch before the meeting

    How do I register to attend online?

    Members attending online must register using the Zoom registration link on the AGM webpage.

    After registering, you will receive an email with a unique link to join the meeting. This link is required to access the AGM and vote online.

    Who can register and vote?

    You may register and vote if you are a Your Credit Union member entitled to receive notice as of the record date and you:

    • Are 18 years of age or older, and
    • Hold the minimum $5 membership share.

    What if the member is a business, corporation, or partnership?

    A business, corporation, or partnership must appoint an individual to vote on its behalf.

    What will members be voting on?

    Members will vote on:

    • The election of directors
    • The appointment of the external auditor
    • A special resolution to amend a by-law relating to director term lengths
    • Any other business properly brought before the meeting

    What is a special resolution?

    A special resolution is a decision that requires a higher level of member approval.

    To pass, it must receive at least 75% of the votes cast by members who are present and entitled to vote at the AGM.

    How will voting work if I attend in person?

    • Members will be checked in at registration.
    • Eligible members will receive a ballot paper.
    • Voting will take place during the meeting as directed by the Chair.

    How will voting work if I attend online?

    • Voting will be conducted using Zoom polling.
    • Only registered members who join using their unique Zoom link will be able to vote.
    • Polls will open and close during the meeting in line with the agenda.

    Can guests attend the AGM?

    Yes. Guests are welcome to attend the AGM but are not entitled to vote.

    Will candidates for director speak at the AGM?

    Yes. Each candidate will be given a short opportunity to address members before voting opens.

    Where can I find the AGM materials?

    The AGM Notice, financial statements, reports, candidate profiles, and other meeting materials are available on the AGM webpage.

    Can I submit questions in advance?

    Yes. Members are encouraged to submit questions in advance by emailing info@yourcu.com.
    Members will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the meeting.
