    A Safe Return to Service

    Updated July 26th, 2021

Your Credit Union has devised a strategy that will ensure the safety of all members and staff. The majority of our members use our online banking platform, mobile banking app and our call centre to complete transactions and these will all remain available and are, in fact being enhanced. For members who wish to transact in our branches we will reopen with the following precautions and procedures:

    • Enhanced cleaning protocols will be implemented by our staff and our cleaning service providers.

    • Plexiglass safety shields have been installed at all teller counters and in one office in each branch.

    • A minimum of 6-foot social distancing will be maintained between members and staff, members and other members, as well as staff and other staff.

    • We will endeavour to have hand sanitizer and kleenex available for those that do not have their own (supplies permitting).

    • Staff may wear masks at their option.

    • We will limit the number of members in-branch during operating hours and provide distancing marks inside and outside of the branches to maintain proper distancing.

    • Walk-in office appointments will not be permitted except in emergency situations. Our call centre can help members with most banking transactions and book appointments. We will continue to offer virtual appointments to those individuals that are not comfortable with an in-office visit at this time.

    • To maintain the best hygiene possible, the washrooms are reserved for staff use only.

    • Staff will not accept any used tissues or trash from members.  There will be a bin available for member use.

    • Members are asked to limit the number of people in the family that come in-branch to only the person(s) required to conduct the transaction. We ask that those not required for the transaction remain outside.

    IN-BRANCH APPOINTMENTS

Every attempt will be made to address member needs without an in person meeting however, each branch will have one office dedicated to meeting members which is equipped with plexiglass safety shield. Members are encouraged to arrive on time, not early or late, as this will impact others. Drop-in members will be asked to make an appointment by calling our contact centre. Our staff will sanitize the office space between meetings.

THE YCU FAMILY WILL TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER

We are all part of the YCU family and we know we can count on everyone to respect the health and safety of all. Our relationships are close and incredibly important but for the moment we will have to conduct those relationships from a distance. We look forward to a return to more normal circumstances but remain committed to ensuring the safety of all members and staff.
