MEMBER CARD® Debit Card
If Your MEMBER CARD® is Lost or Stolen
You should always guard the PIN for your MEMBER CARD® very carefully and if your card is lost or stolen, report it immediately. To report a lost or stolen card, contact the 24 hour hot line: For lost/stolen cards call 1-888-277-1043 or 1-905-305-4099. This allows you to deactivate the card while you investigate further and/or take further action to protect your accounts. Even if there is no immediate suspicious activity on your account, you must still cancel the card. Failing to immediately deactivate the card may jeopardize your ability to obtain a full refund for fraudulent activity that may occur. As a new card can be obtained and immediately activated in a single visit to any YCU branch, there is no need to delay. If you detect suspicious activity on your card or account, contact Your Credit Union immediately to report the activity. To be reimbursed for fraudulent transactions as per your account agreement with Your Credit Union, members assume some responsibilities designed to guard against fraud and to combat fraud when it occurs. One of those responsibilities is to immediately report fraudulent transactions to your local Police Department:
Ottawa: 613-236-1222 X 7300 # 1
Cornwall: 613-933-5000
You will need to complete a Statutory Declaration at one of our branches. The police case number is needed to complete the form in order to be reimbursed for fraudulent activity.
